Hello,

What you are seeing is referred to as tapered pad wear. There are two types - radial and longitudinal. Differential piston sizes minimize pad taper. Calipers that are not stiff enough and rotor coning contribute to taper. (so the problem is probably not with the pads themselves)

In the white paper on the following link, there is a section on Pad Taper that should explain all (but I think it's too long to post the whole thing up here):
http://www.stoptech.com/whitepapers/brake_systems_and_upgrade_selections_122701.htm

Good luck and let me know if you have questions. (in case you e-mail me, my e-mail is not working right now, but I hope to be up and running again soon)

Best regards,

Natasha, StopTech

Basically, in my experience, slap plenty of copper slip on the back of the pads, onto the pistons and on the edges of the pad (metal parts only!). This will help the pad slide more in the calliper and so encourage the pads to move evenly in both radial and logditudinal directions. It also makes them a lot easier to strip out next time.

So long as you change them before they wear out.

Yoza, mine were the same, you need to clean them more regular, you know when you take your wheels off to clean do your calipers as well, the top piston on the 4 pots gets clogged with dust and doesnt perform as well as the lower piston hence the pad wear on the bottom is worse than the top.
