Would MY00 4 pots fit my MY93 to replace the existing 2 pots on 16 inch wheels?

What 'bits' do I need to make sure I have if buying privately?

Cheers for any advice

If the 16" wheels are Subaru items then the brakes should should fit behind them.

4 pots are a straight swap - all you need are the calipers, pads and discs (297mm dia I think, so slightly larger than 2 pot discs)

There are two bolts holding each caliper on the car, and the brake hose. Easy job - did mine (including buying some new tools) in an afternoon.

I think it has been well worth it, and it gives more improvement scope in the future.

If you can, put up a pic of the wheels (or quote the make & model), I'm sure someone will have more of an idea of what fits.

All I know is that my new 17s work well

Take the wheel of and measure from the face of the wheel(where it bolts on) out to the spokes if this is less than about 50 mm you are in trouble.

Thumbs up

Shaggydog,
Recently changed 2pots to 4pots on my MY98,no problem, fitted ok under 16"wheels,now have 18" wheels & still ok!!
Like everyone else says, better Brakes & more scope for future,ie:changin to better Discs & Pads.
Got 4pots off a nice guy on Scoobynet, check out For Sale section.

Hope this helps Duracell
(see you Wed.evening if you can make it)!

Hey, I'm a nice guy on Scoobynet with some 4pots for sale (not in For Sale yet though)

From a P1 (upgraded to AP's and steel hoses)
About 1900 miles only (and these were mostly the P1 running in miles, so not heavily used)
Discs, calipers, pads and hoses (back hoses as well)

Looking for £300. The whole caboodle weighs about 28kg, so manual delivery/collection is best. We can talk about that though.

Leae a contact (email/phone) in this thread and I'll get in touch
Regards
Martin
