I've just bought some Ferodo pads for my AP 6 pots and thought - okay, now just need someone to install them. But I've phoned just about everywhere locally (Peterborough area) and the general word is they wont install pads that they don't supply. Even when I said I didn't give a stuff about getting a guarentee on the work.

So - any ideas who might do it?

Or - can I do it myself? I suspect its not a big job but might require special tool(s)? If anyone feels confident to walk me through it then go for it!

Jonny , The pads on the AP 6 pots are very easy to change , Take off the wheel you will see 2 allen key bolts holding the pads in take those out , clean off the pistons and carefully push them back into the caliper slide in the new pads , refit the 2 bolts and press the peddle a few time to get the pistons back out so they are all tight up to the discs , Hope this helps Ian

Thanks guys. I'll take a look at the brakes tonight, see if it makes sense! Would be nice to be able to feel okay doing these routine tasks. I'll be checking my oil next...
