Why do subaru track car always have 17" and no 18" wheels?

17’s for go and.18’s for show 
19’s for bitches on there toes
Only my opinion of course
17’s more practical and more better sidewall choices and tyre options with8n budget etc etc but I’ve never been on a track so can’t be specific or really comment on that properly

Never had any issue's with my WRC car running 18" wheels , and there are loads of used rally tyres available fairly cheap as well , these have much harder sidewalls than any track day tyre
