Revolution 17x7j tyre size gc8

As above I'm looking for an idea as to what size tyre would suit the rim and arch without rubbing on a classic gc8. Car is just used on track so no worries really with speed humps etc.

215/40/17 or 225/45/17 both will fit and not rub but 215/40/17 is closer to the origional 16" wheel/tyre combo

Hoping to move onto 225/45 next
