Time to swap my scabby looking & slightly sticking front calipers for a nice set of refurbed ones. I've had a bit of a look around & Scoobyworx appear to be the best value once the exchange is factored in, netting back to £250 + postage.

Are there any other suppliers I've overlooked who offer a better deal?

 

Have you tried godspeed brakes for a price, always fairly competitive with other places

 

Had mine done at Godspeed. £260 including delivery back to me.

Depending on what model you have , we can do the Subaru 4 pot calipers for £235 a pair plus £10 P&P , this is on an exchange basis so a deposit is payable which you get refunded once your old calipers are sent back to us.



Or we do the STi brembo calipers for £250 a pair , but don't offer these on an exchange because they can have alloy corrosion problems , and threads pull out , which all can be fixed , but because of this we don't offer an exchange , only offer doing the customers own calipers

How much do you charge to just paint the rear brembo calipers Ian ?

Its not as easy as just painting them , as we powder coat them now , they have to be completely stripped , split in half , paint stripped , bead blasted and powdercoated , before we polish the pistons and rebuild them with new seals and bleed nipples and Brembo logo's .

We charge £250 a pair inc vat to do them.

We can't just paint them sorry as they need to be stripped to do them properly

If you're after the standard 4 pots, Euro Car Parts are worth a look. They don't come with a fancy paint finish but they do look like new and are refurbished by Pagid.

 

Pair ordered from Ian at Godspeed. Since I had saved a little bit of money it made sense to spend a little bit of money on some braided brake lines while I was on the phone to him. Sweet
