Need help with wheel sizes
Hi guys I have a 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX Blobeye and I am looking to get new wheels for it as I don’t like the ones fitted. I currently have Ispiri WRC1’s in gold which I don’t like, they are 18”x8” I think not sure but they are definitely 18”.. I have 225/40/18s all round. I am just wondering what size of wheels could I get without rolling/flaring the fenders? I am looking at the XXR 530’s 18x7.5? Would these fit straight on? Thanks,
Stephen

17x7 up to 17x8.5 should fit on a newage, but you would have to go to 245/40/17 profile tyres. 235/40/17 is a safe bet. (Depends on how much you lower the car and how much negative camber you run)
18x7 up to 18x8 should be fine, if you go wider you would need to stretch the tyres, but for the love of god don't do that horrible sh*t to your car.
As for the ET (offset) try to stay close to stock.
Newage WRX is ET 55, STI wheels are ET 53. I personally wouldn't go less than ET48 for a handling perspective, but if you are only doing it for looks and not going to track the car, go for whatever offset you like.
There is loads of variables though. Really depends what you are wanting to achieve.
