have been offered 7.5x17 oz super t's at a very good price, will they fit a clasic shape scoob & what is the correct offset

For the classics I think the offset should be ET48 but I maybe wrong.

There are a number of folks on this side of the pond with 7.5" wide wheels on the older chassis. I think you just have to be careful on tire selection. If you stick with a 215 width, you should be alright, but a 225 width is likely to rub.

The 'correct' offset to put the wheel in the middle of the available space on the older shape cars is ET53. 7.5" wheels should be OK at this offset but you can get away with being a couple of mm away from that if you are using a 7" wheel and a tyre no larger than 215/40.
