the discs I am putting on the front with my brembos are bigger but they fit perfectly ( 100pcd )

exactly that a bracket, basically so the holes line up allowing you to fit the caliper and brembo disc.

the rear disc is 316mm from memory

im pretty sure you will need to change the handbrake shoes too as the drum is a different diameter on the wrx

not really its all bolt on.
godspeed will sell the bits you need im sure.

if you have the calipers and disc all you need is the handbrake shoes and brackets.

Tubs is right, bracket for calipers to sit correct, either bigger handbrake shoes or a spacer that sits in the disc and bigger disc to suit.

HI
The WRX hatch is different than the earlier cars similar to the STi hatch .

Its simple to fit Brembo's on a hatch WRX as the Black hatch STi rear brakes fit straight on , but you do need the 2008 onwards Hatch STi black calipers and discs to go with them , which are different to the Gold brembo's off a 2001 to 2007 car .

You will need to have the discs drilled on a 5 x 100mm PCD wheel stud pattern to fit the WRX hatch as the STi hatch has a 5 x 114mm PCD

Both the WRX hatch and STi hatch have a 190mm handbrake.

Its a shame they didn't make it as easy to fit Brembo's on the rear of an early car

Cheers Ian

Just to add , the WRX hatch doesn't have 2 pots on the rears as standard , they only have 1 pot calipers

so if I can find some Black hatch STI rears they will fit straight on with new discs...

also yes you are right the rear on the WRX is only 1 pot hence why I wanted to put some other calipers on mine

IIRC, Ian will be able to confirm I'm sure, the rear Brembo's from a Hatch STI look a little bit different to the earlier Newage STI calipers. Will make it easier for you to get the right ones.

Does the WRX have hill start assist ? I know my diesel hatch does which is what was putting me off from going to a hatch brembo set up.

Could well be I must admit I havnt looked into it at all would be interesting to know for definate. If that's the case the Subaru 2 pot rears should be a straight fit. Has anyone done this.

Yes the Black Brembo hatch STi rear calipers are different to the Gold STi Brembo rear calipers.

They need to be hatch specific STi Brembo rear calipers for them to fit.

The Subaru 2 pot calipers have the same lug spacing as a early STi gold brembo caliper , neither of these will fit on the rear of a hatch WRX , the 2008 onwards black STi 2 pot rear calipers have the lugs spaced further apart , the lug spacings on the black 2 pot calipers are the same as a classic with 1 pots .

With a bit of machining on the black 2 pots , they will bolt straight onto a classic but only fit with the 2001 onwards WRX 290mm discs , they won't fit with the 316mm brembo discs.
As you have to run the 290mm discs , it also means the STi pad is too wide so you also need to machine those down , although it can be done , it's quite a bit of work , to only end up with a smaller disc

Mmm thanks Ian mine is only a diesel so doesn't warrant Brembo's all round. The standard Diesel set up isn't brilliant but with a set of Subaru 4 pots and decent pads it should be sufficient for my commuting needs.
