Bit of help please if possible? When looking for ideas to set the suspension up on my bug we noticed that the front wheels have spacers to clear the brembos? I assumed the wheels were the gold standard Sti wheels (17's) but is there a possibility they are from a wrx and non Sti if spacers are being used? Can anyone please confirm if bug sti's have spacers as standard on the front with oem 17's? Cheers in advance

 

No they don't have spacers. Have you tried fitting the wheels without spacers?

 

Not yet, that's my plan when the snow disappears in not so sunny Stoke haha! It's close to be fair with spacers missing the brembos as they are? Does anyone have any comparison pics between bug wrx and wrx Sti wheels (just in case I can't workout how to upload a pic lol) when I bought the car I assumed they were Sti as the rest of the car is

 

Easy enough to find images of the wheels via search. If they don't fit then you have WRX wheels. If they fit then you have STi wheels but someone has decided to improve the "stance" - 7.5 inch rims with ET53 can look a bit lost inside the newage arches.

Thanks for the links, I definitely have the Sti wheels then. Mine are exactly the same as the Sti link, other than the colour of course I notice on the wrx link there are no 'dimples' around the outside as with the sti's. As you first suggested need to take the spacers off and confirm they go over the brembos (fingers crossed). Thanks for your help
