Default brakes upgrade

hi i have a jdm import bug with 4 pots at front and stabilser small breaks at rear, id like to fit a bigger turbo and injectors, so obviously the stopping power to match, any suggestions?? ive seen some brembo sets popping up but are there some equal brands that dont cost the earth? cheers

whats your budget? in all honesty your brakes are paramount, i wouldn't scrimp as it will cost you more in the long run. if you're going to keep the car then before making it faster, make it stop (and handle) better. good tyres coupled with good brakes will make it much more competitive in terms of road use.

Given you will need a set of wheels as well to go over the brembo's i;d just go and get AP 330mm kit which will go straight under the standard 17's

Or have a word with Ian at Godspeed, he does kits for upgrading the standard four-pots.

I upgraded to stainless lines, 5.1 fluid, godspeed kevlar pads and godspeed discs and it seems to have improved the standard system.

The brembo's from an STI seem to go for between £450 and £500 then you need the pads and discs.

Like mentioned above godspeed do a big brake upgrade for the standard calipers.

Guess it depends on how much your planning on increasing your power and what your budget is.

Thanks ive got a few quid spare just didnt know which brand would be good for quality other than brembo il check out the godspeed ones cheers
