Default SH Forester - Audi Fat Fives?

Hi

I am back in the fold having bought my third forester (had an SF and SG).

I have a set of Audi Fat Fives and wondered would they fit the forester? The PCD is the same from what I know.

I did a google search and the ET is similar 45 vs 48 so will need a shim spacer - should I go for something a bit wider like an 8mm spacer?

I looked at the hub (centre bore??) I am not very knowledgeable about all this so did a quick search on the forum here and found this:

Can any one explain this in layman's terms for me please?

Does it mean the fat fives wont fit?

Thank you

Basically subarus have a small centre bore. This means that any wheel with a larger centre bore will fit (provided PCD, Width, Diameter, Offset(ET) are all ok.

To fit properly you should use an adapter. It's basically a plastic ring that sits in the centre hole of the rim (fit from the inside of the wheel)

I think the forester has a centre bore of 56.1 and the Audi I think is 57.1 so not a massive difference, just search Ebay for spigot rings and you should find what you need.
