Default Discs, dimples, grooves, c hook?

Options options, why pick one over the other, what's the advantages/disadvantages of each type?

Discs pictured are Mtec, but for reference as much as anything.

Why buy grooved, not drilled/dimpled and grooved??

Drilling can produce cracks where the metal is over-stressed.

I don't think Godspeed now offer drilling, just grooves.....and there ain't much Ian doesn't know abt brakes

So buy grooved not drilled, what about dimpled? or c hook?

There must be a reason for all the varieties?

I have Godspeed discs, I remember at the time I bought them Ian saying that the 6 grooves his discs have is optimal. Why, I don't know. I don't think he's a fan of drilled discs and he knows his stuff.
