Default Brake refurb

When refurbishing brakes do you spray them whilst they are in half? Or put them back together and then spray them?

Is it best to use a primer? The paint doesn't say to use one.

have them back together , as there's brake fluid transfer channels you wont want paint in. Dont forget or lose the caliper half seals when split apart.

A red oxide or anti rust primer once they have been properly cleaned and degreased and dried. 3 coats of that ( 50 mins between coats ) 3 layers or paint and lacquer after that respectively, Should all look good

Any other queries give GODSPEED OR SCOOBYWORX a shout

Can you buy new bolts that hold the caliper together?

One of mine has hex bolts the other has normal bolts. Checked them today they are m10 in size but with a different thread pitch, its much finer than a standard bolt.
