Euro car parts brakes ????
Long story short, my impreza has been off the road for nearly 5 years now and im gonna try get a few bits sorted so its road worthy again. Im on a very tight budget at the mo, so iv looked at bog standard brakes from euro car parts. They are listed as Pagid, anyone used em ? My car is standad and will not go on track, just normal weekend blast kinda driving. Are they up to the job ? Or just cheap bobbins ?

For your stated use, you won't go wrong with the venerable Ferodo DS2500.
The do-it-all 'Honda CBR600RR' of brake pads.
* Established Brand.
* Decent stopping power.
* Work properly from stone cold.
* Resistant to fade.
* Not much dust.
* Not silly priced.
They really are a fit/forget/just drive product, IMO.

Cheers mate. Will they be ok with standard discs though ? The ecp discs and pads all round work out about £160 ish. Cant believe they are so cheap.

Hi Ian, my car is a 97 model turbo 2000 with 2 pot fronts and tiny rears. Iv looked on your site lots of times in the past and always really fancied upgrading to a set of your recon 4 pots and grooved discs but not been able to do so yet.

HI
We can offer you our grooved front and rear discs and kevlar pads for £199.50 delivered , so a little more than the standard ECP items , but then you are getting a better spec.
The copy caliper kits we offer are a good starting point in upgrading the brakes , but then you also need the correct wheels to clear the 4 pots , most of the early wheels don't clear them , which would mean having to change the wheels , and if you're on a tight budget to start with , its not the way to go
Cheers Ian
