Default Nankang 235/40/18s NS2R's on 18x9's

I've just had a set of the above fitted to a my newly refurbished wheels with an ET35 offset and it seems that the sidewalls are a lot more square and not as stretched as the 235/40 profile I removed so they look wider to me, is anyone running these on a newage with any issues?? The rear arches have already been rolled before I bought the car to accommodate. Unfortunately I'm not in a position to try it out at the mo as the gearbox is in the middle of a rebuild at API.
Thanks in advance
