I had Goodridge on my last impreza and was very pleased with them, gave a less spongy feel to the brake pedal.
Nothing over dramatic in terms of improvement but worth it.

I am also having a set fitted to my current one tomorrow along with AP racing fluid. Then updated discs and pads later in the year.

Thanks Mark, cheers Alyn.

Was looking online last night and Goodridge appear to make various versions. Ranging from £70 up to £165 for 'phantoms'. Do think the entry level Goodridge braided hoses are good enough for day to day driving?

We have tried all makes and for the last 5 years only sell Hose Techniks now , made in the UK by Forge motorsport , all pipes and fittings are stainless steel , the pipes are plastic coated , they also come with new stainless banjo bolts and copper washers.

We sell the car kits for £75

Never had an issue with these , very well made

Cheers Ian

all of the pricing has been re-aligned over the winter and the PHANTOM is now£75 from ourselves - sounds like re-sellers still listing at the outdated price??

as one of a minor number of long standing official factory distributors we can assist with all of their offerings

Thanks Ian, do you use hose techniks on the rally car?

Alyn, may I ask what the difference is from the old Goodridge hoses to the new Phantoms?

Thanks in advance.

all of the std Goodridge kits come with clear coat hose coverings (various coloured options available to order)

the newer style Phantom kits have all stainless steel fittings throughout and black hose coverings

these are Transporter T4/T5 kits but you get the idea

Yes I have them on my clio rally car , my WRC car has all Prodrive parts on it

Looks like the Hose Technik kits are the same specs as the Phantom kits

Was informed late on Monday the Goodridge hoses I have for my 05 sti are not the correct set

So in the market for a new set, what's the correct set / part number to suit ??

I am sure previous retailer checked car type by reg for compatibility but seems they got it wrong as fronts don't fit

Just my luck as I purchased them 10 months ago too, so will have a set for sale if interested ??

The only difference in an older or newer version is how they fit on the front struts , a classic has a 'C' clip attaching them to the strut , a 2001 onwards car has a bracket on the hose that is bolted to the strut

Right I have collected the car this morning, good news sailed through its MOT

Bad news these dam braklines that don't fit.
Truns out after chatting with the mechanic that all was ok apart from the connection to the front callipers where I need the "O" shaped connector but the kit has a screw type fitting.

Checking the box the retailier had written on the front "Brembo 01-07" but looking at the small sticker I think they maybe for the hatch

Part number SSU0550-4P ??

After reading this I have just purchased and had delivered a set of Goodridge Phantom full stainless lines from ASP above delivered for £80
For my 2004 STI uk version they look the Business well happy so far.

Will let you know my opinion on these when they have been fitted and tested.
