Default brake judder

right here goes,

took the car into subaru specialist for engine work etc, whilst it was in had all brake discs and pads changed at same time (OEM) 1000 miles later braking from 60 mph i get judder through steering wheel really quiet bad, if i drive the car at 30 mph nothing really,

took it to back to garage and they said it may be some rubber joint wearing on wishbones cost will be £500 front and back if it still does it then we will change the brake disc as they may of warped........wtf

now is it just me or should they firstly replace the discs first instead of me shelling out another £500

interested to get peoples opinions, or solution to finding the cause

I had that on my car when I first got it, turned out only 1 out of 8 front Pistons were working. So maybe check them
