Default York Dragway

Anybody fancy doing a bit of dragging (not the dress wearing stuff) sometime soon? On the york dragway site they havent updated the 2011 calender yet (sometime in february it`ll be updated) but I think the first RWYB session is easter bank holiday weekend.
I want to see how quick the new scoob is
I know its early but hey ho.....nevermind

I'll do it. Not been to York strip before but its a hell of a lot closer than Santa Pod!

I've put my name down for loads of events and meets and stuff with the P1 - What date are we aiming for, just so I know it don't clash with owt, and is it a Saturday, would need to be for work really?

Is it an open day, ie RWYB? If so I 'll ask him if he wants to join....

He not a big petrol head unfortunatly, but if I put it to him that my Scoob can rip his noble; he will soon rise to it im sure .

I also met a guy the other week who i sold some AVCS too, and has a Westfield with an 650bhp evo engine fitted, he is keen to do some track days, but is saving to get a ex F1 launch kit as the evo is currently just spins the tyres going nowhere due the power to weight

it is yeah, theres usually something going on inbetween the RWYB eg. beetles vs american cars,so you have to wait till theyve done their runs but you can usually get on about 10 times if you so wish
I can never understand why people make cars like that so quick, its wasted power,I know someone whos got a dax rush running a 400bhp cosworth engine and spins in 4 th!

Monday for me sounds better from what you have described.......

Nothing against Sundays Mini's and Beetle's, but it doesnt sounds as exciting Modders/Tuners Shootout

Thought I'd get this back to the top as it's still happening on Easter Monday.
Can people put if they are coming racing/spectating,it's a damn good day even if your watching (especially watching me blowing up the car most likely )
I'll post up closer to the time a meeting place for everyone

2. bigarf (competing)
3. Rob Day (undecided)
4.

New list started, as I know the original list failed.... Banny (Bang), Eggy (Fingers crossed)....

Is there a link to the days itinerary, as I wouldnt mind taking the mrs and kids up with me, then its more a "family day out" than "daddy racing" (again) lol.

tbh the day normally always goes like, turn up, sign in get ya car in line, have a bacon sandwich and a chat,do a run,get back in line, check your time, have another walk around and a chat,do another run and so on.by the end of the day you will have eaten your way through half a dozen cardboard burgers, talked to almost every one there and been in and out of the bar more times than you want to remmember.so in a nutshell just turn up wi plenty a cash, your licence and a helmet and the day will just fly by.
