Hi PPl

Just about to get the prodrive sports cat, second decat and decatted uppipe plus 3 port and 255 fuel pump. I was going to get dunc to do remap but having seen this place http://www.exhaustdiscounts.co.uk/performance-tuning/ a few times and used em for the odd cheap exhaust on other cars I just wanted ppls opinions on what there like for mapping Impreza`s ? I know Dunc has yrs of experience with Impreza`s so would prefer to use him but seen as this place is only down the road it gives me another option.

Cheers

Rich

You pay a mapper for their experience on your type of car, I don't know the place or anyone who have used them, but IMHO, decide if a cheap fix will do you, or pay for an Ecutek map by a Pro.

Not saying that any one route is better, as it's your decision, and your money to spend.

I know the place, no experience of using them yet. The dyno is currently out of action due to a failed fan.... how do i know this.... i'm arranging a dyno day with them in February on here so we can go see the place etc.... link is https://www.scoobynet.com/west-...dyno-day.html

They've spent a lot of money on the equipment and will be sound for doing the power runs especially at the price I've arrange, £25 per car. They don't have a lot of tuning experience on Imprezas yet but it may be worth having a word with them to see what they can do. I know they've done a fair few EVOs.

JGM is a good mapper

might be worth just ringing them and asking who does the mapping for them,as they may have a reputable mapper that comes to them and does the mapping on certain days, just like many other companies do.if its someone that isnt known, then i'm not saying he wont do a good job but if it were my money, from past experience i would go with someone you know does a good job.

you could even combine the 2 if you wanted, book an hour on their dyno and get jgm up to map it on there

Hell just meet him at Squires, and use the old A1...

At 11PM in the rain, at 0 degrees, and after a day at work...

Sharpens even my old reflexes a treat

Any mapper who can get 400 bhp and 390ftlbs from a 20g with a TMIC on a 2.0 gets my vote

You should tell Megaman...

He's rather struggling with his mapper's efforts.

Shame.
