not subaru related but ive got a problem with the van,think the batterys knackered but not sure could be the alternator. on way home yesterday felt that the powersteering was going hard and then this morning the battery was completely flat,got me neighbour to put the jump leads on it......sprung to life but 10 minutes later all power starting going and eventually cut out.
Any ideas?

yeah sounds like the alternator fella,if you've got a multimeter just get it started and check the voltage,if its doing between 13-14v the alt is about right but if its slowly dropping then the battery is probably fooked
