Default Hello to you all

Hi im new to the world of subaru's
not new to the performance cars haveing had a few cosworth's bmw's and the last car was a skyline
Thought it was time for a change so sold my last one last week and had a look round for a scooby i like the 4x4 and turbo mix so it seemed the best route to take and i must say ...... i have had the car a day and a half now and i should have done this earlyer

So ive got a 98 classic

its standard at the moment and needs some work but thats half the fun isnt it
Im close the sqiures cafe to so ill look forward to seeing some of you at the meets work permitting and ill be on here looking for advice and how too's all the time aswell

the spending has begun already the dvd players in and conected to the phone kit not bad for day one now i need a few trim peices ( any one now anywere good to look)
rear disks and pads 17 0r 18 alloys / dump valve / intercooler / window timts / a spare front bumper
that lot should keep me busy this week till im back to work

hi Mark,get some pics up and my advice is go for 17" wheels i had both on my classic and imo 18" wheels absolutley ruined the way the car drove/felt

as said 17s are probably the best compromise re looks and handling, think carefully about a dump valve intercooler, mine didn't like a VTA DV (it had this on when I bought it) so I returned it to the OE recirc and it was much happier, BTW if you want to try a VTA DV before you buy let me know I have spare Bailey and blanking plug somewhere about and your welcome to try it.

Re intercoolers depending on what type your planning a remap may be necessary, front mount can change boost levels with no other mods, if your thinking of future power mods (even simple ones, induction, exhaust, de-cat etc) you will need a remap, so the best way forward is to decide what you want, source all the parts required and then fit all at once along with the remap.
Speak to Andy Carr he'll advice on the best options.

well ive heard of warm welcomes before but......... dam.....
there are a few scoobys in the local erea then ???
ill have to get the some photos up
looking for parts is there a good breaker round here ? anyone fancy casting a knowing eye over my car to tell me what it needs if it sounds as it should etc ???
