poly bushes
Anyone interested in some poly bushes? I've been ringing around the usual suppliers (Polybush, Powerlex etc ) trying to do a deal re sponsorship (well supplying cheap/free bushes) for the racing without success. But I've found another company who have just started producing Performance Bushes for various cars including the Impreza, these available from pairs to full re-bush kits.
They are 83A shore which compares to Polybushes Red (Track / Race) at 85A, Powerflex Yellow (comfort) 70A, Purple (Performance) 80A, Black (Full Race) 95A, (BTW OE Rubber bushes are between 58-65 shore)
Shore is the measure of 'hardness' of polyurethane, the lower the number the softer the bush, 95A shore is very very hard with Powerflex 'Full Race' bushes the hardest I've found.
For normal road / tackday use 83A shore is stiff enough to increase performance while not increasing mechanical noise/vibration to much, the company say it may be possible to produce harder 90-95A shore bushes but apparently it's not as simple as it sounds, but in the first instance I'll be getting their normal bushes, which should be stop on for racing and a little road use.
I'm still talking to the company re supplying me and possible discounts for bulk orders so if anyone is thinking of re-bushing let me know, so I can gauge interest maybe set up a group buy.
I've no firm prices yet but I expect to be paying less than 1/2 Powerflex, Polybush, Superflex etc prices.
