Just posted my interest, but I can't see it comin off, there are no dates or venues yet plus they are after 40-50 paid up cars per meeting which is a tell order given the time scale involved but you never know they may get it sorted.

Agreed, not any real chance of success at this late stage, sadly.

Yes indeed the Scooby Sprint as been cancelled, this is from the Sprint forum

Quote

Dear All,

This has not been an easy decision, but has come about purely because I am unwilling to run the season to anything other than the highest standards, and through extreme circumstances, I can't 100% guarantee this, this year.

I have been very grateful for the support so many of you have shown me during the last few weeks when we've been so close to pulling this together, and your understanding that I'd rather postpone until next year, and do it properly (and organised well in advance!), rather than rush into it half-baked, is really appreciated.

Last year was a great starter for 10, but even with a dedicated seperate "partner" company running the actual events, parts of the organisation failed, such as the timing, and a few other matters we won't go over again.

What I look forward to, however, is getting together the great bunch of people that we all attracted last year - which was a definite cut above the average in terms of personality and friendliness - and coming back bigger and better next year.

Apologies again for taking so long to come to this conclusion. You wouldn't believe the amount of work that has gone into trying to find a way to get it all to work out for this year in the circumstances, but alas it wasn't to be.

Thank you all for your support, I wish you all the very best for this year and hope you'll stay in touch.

Simon

So there you are, no Scooby Sprint this year, but on a positive note it looks like they're planning to run it in 2011, which overall is probably better than trying to arrange it at the eleventh hour and ending up with disappointment all-round, I’m sure it’s pretty difficult to organise something this in 6 months and near impossible in 6 weeks!!! So lets hope they get their act together and it comes back bigger and better next year.

And Bez get your head out of the gas oven it's not worth it , at least now you've got plenty of time to get the car sorted.
