Default Heat sheild or no heat sheild?

Finally got the decat downpipe on with lots of heat wrap fitted, but due to the turbo heat sheild being such a t**T to take off I really cant be bothered putting it back on.

Is it safe to leave it off?

cheers

Hey bud

Totally up to u but the heat shield prevents heat soak into the intercooler which in turn increases charge temps . Not such a huge problem at the mo with ambient temps being what they are but in the summer it can cause power loss.

If it is wrapped from the turbo down, leave the piece of scrap in the garage...

IMHO

yeh chop it in half and put the top half back on..

wont fit on complete as your downpipe is now larger, also looks much neater!

people moan at these things when you sell the car and its missing. looks more original.
