Anyone know a locksmith?!
Copied from my post in the DIY section, if anyone can help, drop me a PM please
Help!!!!!
Just been to the front door to check it was locked, and the handle went straight down, thus meaning I can't open the door. Handle moves up and down, but its not moving the locks to allow the door to open. Had this same problem a few months back and called out a locksmith. Once the door was off, all they did was change the mechanism and hey presto, it worked.
Now, I've found a place local to me that does the mechanisms for the door I have. Question is, how do I get the locks to move up so I can open the door and change the part?
Or should I just call a locksmith and get robbed of approx £250 again?
If anyone can help can you drop me a PM
Or if you know a cheap locksmith in Leeds / Wakefield area let me know.
Thanks

Driller killer
At work I just remove the handle and bore a hole straight through the lot !
This allows the mechanism to be retracted and the door opened....
My boss used to use a crowbar to wrench the door out of it's frame. usually fatally wounding it in the process !

P.S. Blessed are the little ones
