oki doki, for those of you that i didnt tell at the old curry night, here is rather a hilarious little story about a dog...

a friend was asked to house and dog sit whilst her other friends went away on holiday, now all was going well until a couple of days after they had left, the dog died. shocked and not really knowing what to do, she called the vets...
"erm, my friends dogs died, and i'm dog sitting for her, what should i do?"
"oh dear, you can bring the dog to the vet clinic and we'll store it for when they get back from holiday if you like? that way we dont have to cremate or bury the animal, just keep it here so they can decide"
"sounds good, but i dont drive, how am i going to get it there?"
"reslly sorry but we cant help you out with that, you'll just have to find your own way"

so said friends borrows the neighbours suitcase... puts the dog inside (bear in mind the dog is quite large and heavy) and struggles down to the bus stop

a kindly man who could see she was struggling helped her onto the bus when it arrived with the case and commented that "oooh its rather heavy this suitcase" to which she agreed, but didnt tell him what was in it.

when she reached her stop, she got up to get off and the same man jumped up and helped her off the bus, again commenting on how heavy the case was and he asked her "what is in it?"

the first thing that popped in her head came out... "oh ... err... its a computer"

so the bloke runs off with it... thinking he's just bagged himself a bargain!!



So you can imagine the conversations that followed....
reporting the "dognapping" to the police...
telling the neighbour that their suitcase was stolen...
and when they get back from holiday, telling the owners that a) their dog died and b) sorry it got pinched
and can you imagine the look on the criminals face when he opened the suitcase to look at the new computer he's bagged himself, only to be confronted by poor departed pooch?

now the said owners have returned from holiday now, so i'm waiting for an update on how the whole "breaking of the bad news" went, no doubt there will be a few tears and giggles all rolled into one!!
