Taken at our new favourite location, using some recently acquired halogen worklamps and a couple of perspex gels (which only lasted a minute or two before melting, hence the small number of pics using them)
I'm sure Mick will be along with his (better) offerings shortly, but for now here's mine...

Look good them. But you could have moved the bike round the other way. they look a bit repetitive. Some times the stand side of the bike looks better and if you was to move the bars to the other side,,,, But i'm No David bailey......
Bike looks great anyway....

Forgive me here for being a bit nieve (spelling) here.... But I thought we were a "club" of friends, mates, etc, and when we had a photo shoot, run out, track day, it was put up on the forum before it took place, as of late it seems the other way round, could someone tell me why the tried and tested WYIOC system has suddenly changed???
Must say nice bike Si, if your into them!!

The photo shoot decision was based soley on simons bike as you can see by the pictures, and included mates friends etc, the impromtu decision to go was made at 2030 last night, I am pretty sure members would not have wanted to go out in the rain to watch us take pictures of simons bike. the 5 responses and 100+ views to this thread back that up somewhat.
To be honest the night would of passed before the thread got a response, I am pretty sure you can understand impromtu's can not always be broadcast they are by there very nature impromtu!
So no mate the WYIOC way? has not changed to answer your question, Well not from where I am sitting, I still do the same things as I have always done with the club members whom are interested. lack of interest is not our problem, or a problem at all to be fair. I would not dream of openly critisisng other members get togethers, It's a club not a dictatorship.
The last thing we want to do is make members scared of doing things with mates incase some one has a pop in a post because all the WYIOC were not invited.
No secret pm's secret runs, meets track days, just mates being mates.
Bikes are just not everyones cup of tea, the interest in the publically broadcast short Way up was living proof of that, so the shoot was a no brainer.
The clubs about the people not what you like own or drive, thats what makes the club great.
I am pretty sure you would not of come to watch us take pictures of Simon's bike and only Simons bike, so don't quite understand what seems to be the issue. I hope you can see by my expalantion and the facts, that there is nothing underhanded here, just mates and WYIOC'ers being mates and WYIOC'er's...
I know, I know, with a retort like this I should be up for chairman
Yes it is a nice bike mate, very very nice, my back is just to old to bend over one

Wot he said.....
I'm aware of many meets, runs and doo's over the years that have just happened... these are sometimes the better ones....
Quite possibly the first and arguably the best is Stickies and Dazza's Summer (04?) morning Dales run that was filmed in split screen... awesome.
There has never been any internal club or clique... It's a fact of life some people just get on better, live closer or have similar life styles, habits and interests that just makes such impromptu meets inevitable....
The fact that it was published here for us to enjoy proves there was no hidden agenda...
Such sharing should not be discouraged on the back of any perceived but non-existant sub-club culture...

FFS! This is being blow out of proportion. Mick and myself spent about half an hour taking some pics of Si's bike. In the rain. At night. And at very short notice. I do not see the need to invite everyone to such an event, just as I do not see the need to invite everyone over the next time I plan on wiping my ****. There is no hidden agenda, it wasn't a secret Club photosession that 'some' people were kept in the dark about, it was pure and simply, a couple of mates doing what mates do. Just an hour before Si and myself were having a meal together in the Winter Seam, apologies for not posting an invite on here.
This evening I shall more than likely be working late before having a beer and then hitting the PS3. If anyone wants to pop round so as not to feel too left out, then feel free. Just give me a call first so I know what the numbers are going to be, as the unit's not that big.
Having said all that...
It's a poor reflection on a 'car' club that there is very little interest in actually driving the cars. Shows, curry nights, Wii nights, etc. are great, but this is (was?) a bloody good CAR club. Where's the runs out? Where's the CAR stuff? The closest we've had was the recent Scotland trip, and look at all the cars that went on that.
Now, who's up for an early morning run Sunday after next? (28th) Say 6am start, back in time for lunch?
(And breathe...)
Hairdye... 'tis indeed mate. So which bits of the graffiti are you responsible for?

Ahhh thought so. Its about 25 years since i signed my name down there.....
I think it will be long gone now and covered up, but saying that the bridge support to the left has a couple of names i can still see and remember.
It just brought back a few childhood memories .....good times.......police catching us......bad times...
cheers
Ps i might be able to make a few meets now or a ride out car/bike as my 6 months of nights finish next wednesday.

Hi Wayne as Sticky said, it is indeed, very nice and atmospheric on a night, potentially a bit scary too
Hi Mick
I have been fishing down there on a night and i agree about it being creepy especially when your on your own. Ive seen loads of stuff happening in the dead of night ,drug deals and drug drops i had to sit tight and quiet(hard when your knees are knocking) and hope they didnt see me..... not good.
cheers

Would've worked even better if you'd invited a pretty laydee along to the shoot

Bikes always look good with a laydee draped over them
(ps. how bad is the photoshop above
