WYIOC EOM - Thurs 25 Sept @ Squires
It is that time again, the September End of Month Meeting is nearly here… and I’ve decided to reintroduce the EOM openers, this one is a tribute to Alan, our long suffering chairman!
I’d don’t presume to know everything about everything, and I’ve only been a member for a very little time, but Alan has been a real rock for this club and we’ve grown in his presence, ever the consummate gentleman and often the neutral party in an argument, I have a lot of respect for this man.
I’m sure you will all agree that he is one top bloke and deserves sunshine and happiness in his life! But alas, this leads me to express regret in his decision to hang up his chairmanship hat to focus on what really are the more important areas of his life, his lovely wife Katrina and his up and coming footballer son Sean, not to mention his increased workload. And I think we all want to say thanks for your time and effort
So ladies and gentlescoobs, I give you… Alan…
Of course, he doesn’t really look like this, but I’m struggling to find real pictures!!

Alas, back at the wheel of a scoob in stelvio…

So back to the EOM. The nights are drawing in, we’re starting to feel the cold a little more, and we settle in for the quieter WYIOC months. No doubt there will be events posted for random trips and meetings, but all the major shows have now finished, allowing us to focus on planning for next year, and the all important decisions on how to make the club stand just that little bit better!
We hope to see you all at our regular meeting place at Squires Café, from 7.30pm. Convoys will leave from Trading Post, Castleford at 7.15pm and one from The Brickworks, Drighlington at 7pm.
It is more than likely going to be weather for hot choccie, diet kit kats and diet pasties judging by how cold it was at the Jap Meet!! Wrap up warm, and we’ll see you there!
