srry back to none geek mode, my Onkyo AV amp arrives tommorow make the ps3 the centre of my new AV setup
what a bit of ki, love the way it plays all your vids in little boxs at the same time... oh and gran tursimso is simply awsome

The problem with bringing it round is...
20 minute initial download update, then a 20 minute HD install before getting into the game. Better if you come to me.
Not played much of the actual story, but been online with the masses of deathmatch, race and story options. Foo mee!
Still can't get online with GT5P as the fooking download still won't complete.

went for a 506... nice bit of kit, does everything i need really... didn't need the upscalling of the 606 so wasn't worth paying £185 more... just need to get pluming in the rear Bose speakers now... can't wait... need a good Bluray film to try it with then...

I know I'm a bit thick when it comes to all this audio stuff, but having Googled the Onkyo xx506 and read the spec I'm still no wiser as to what it is / does. Care to shed some light?

it's a surround receiver/amp basically you put your audio source in and it sorts it out and sends it back out through the speakers, i went for the 605 when it was new as it will also play true hd sound which the ps3 will now also play so the extras out weighed the cost as it was a bit more future proof than the 505
