^ I'm with Rich on this one. If your's is pre-facelift then fit the standard crystal lights. Look lovely.

I wonder if these ebay ones have decent light output and pattern, might be worth it for that alone
Of course if money were no object it would have to be Morette's with HID's in

Totally agree with you, they're crap but look better than any aftermarket stuff.
I've been thinking about getting the HID conversion, must be better than standard and you can keep the look too.

Scott said something along the same lines when we got to Ladybower on Thursday
"I'd have been better holding a candle out of the window"
Jade's reply
"Won't it blow out"

Have any of you tried Philips Extreme +80% bulbs ? Our Octy lights were woeful, with projector lenses designed for HID's, which happen to be a £500 option With halogen bulbs they really were crap, similar to my old Corrado which was like the backlight from a 70's digital watch. The Extremes have brought them up to 'acceptable' for £24, delivered off eBay.
Anyone considering aftermarket HID's remember that they are illegal and an MOT and roadside check failure, unless they come with a self-levelling mechanism, washers and adjustment for European use.

Bollocks to that mumble !
It's all propaganda they just want to tax us for using less electricity....
Mine are fine, as they were designed for HID's, but our UK importers didn't want to pay the extra costs to fit them properly. I agree my main beam will blind people, in aircraft and Lancashire.... they are stunningly good, I don't need my PIAA's in the front to see any more.
IMHO
DunxC
P.S. Not been flashed yet ! Stick some driving lights on a classic in place of the pathetic fogs, I did on mine !

Projector lights don't have the 'tick' at the end of the beam and fail an mot, been there. the light output is worse with them to the standard ones.
Crystal standard lights and a HID kit is where the money is best spent IMO
B******s to the law, I want to be able to see where I'm going!!
