Well guy's & gal's went down to see how the pug was doing yesterday got there and the block and the head was split,james had checked the bores and pistons and was on with painting the block silver.Then he checked the valves and all the head and painted that black,he then put new cambelt on and new head gasket on,,top job so far,,,i then went off to pick our Debs up from the asda at wakey and yes when i got back the engine was in the car with the sidedraft 45 webbers stuck to the front of it. He then got it started and OOHH my god it sounded like it had just been brought back from the dead,but after james had 1/2 a hour doing his magic with the carbs she started to come to life.Then it was time for him to test drive the beast, as he went out of the garage she sounded great ticking over at just under 2 thousand revs. Then he went up the road as soon as he put his foot down all his skill came together the car sounded awsome,sounds just like a Escort with a BDA in it...Then i my chance to have a go i got sat in her and what a differance the car just will not keep still, ticking over at that speed u just know u are in for a top drive.All i'm saying is when a pug is still spinning the wheels in 3 gear and still pulling strong power at 6k u know u have got a top car...so all i can say is BIG thanks to JAMES cheers mate,,,And a big thanks to Andy & Ellie AET for housing the car while it was being done.OH yes and big thanks to me for having the fastest pug in the club shut it...

nah it wont be ready for blyton needs afew bits doing before its ready,crankshaft sensor and break slider asfar as i know ,but maybe will be a close contender to your car m8,as i know yours is fast

 

try and get it ready mate will be a true good day.. she is going on the rollers tomoz down at AETs see what the bhp is, will let you all know hope its a good result
