When I've got it stable and resilient I'll take a view on entering it
Depends on whether the circuit stick to the sound regs. I made a massive effort and extra cost to keep mine under the 105 limit. There were Scoobs running at Scooby Shootout way over that and nothing mentioned. I'm ditching all silencing bits soon and going for a straight through race system so it will all depend on whether they run it like last year or start to enforce their own rules

I'm also seriously tempted by the VXR 500 after reading the specs since this mod-ing lark is getting too much!
Ian, i have seen them send people away to get their cars "sorted" to meet the DB limit, several times over the last year.
At 4500rpm mine recorded 104.5 DB
Whats up with the car now?

The main remaining problem is that since I put a silencer in the mid-section to meet the sound regs (which put it to 102DB) it's had a knock-on effect I just can't fix. It creates too much back pressure and even after many mapping sessions it hesitates slighty as it comes on boost but even worse the power is not smooth there after.
As it was (108DB) it was very smooth and free flowing. I want that back again! Even if I have to wear ear plugs
I'm also re-routing some of the intercooler pipes and there's a slight oil leak that needs attention.
Apart from that I've got some new bits in mind (does it ever stop?)

How goes it with the Red Devil?
Oh, ok cool
The red devil has plans in hand to get it back out and alive again before the end of the month, but we will see if that happens.
Just waiting on a few bits for the gear box, and it should be good to go.
