Been and done a bit of groundwork this morning with a view to putting together a treasure hunt for the middle of July, so I'm after a little feedback...
What day would suit the majority best? Mid week evening or Sunday morning? As it stands we'd be looking at around 2-3 hours to complete it, but it will probably be refined a little so that could change. Assuming a 7pm start it would mean a late(ish) finish for the kids.
Should there be a nominal entry fee of, say a couple of quid per car to provide a prize for the winner, or shall we just do it for the fun of it?
Any suggestions as to what to include? I've never compiled one of these before, so some ideas would be helpful. I've got a route and been round taking notes for questions, but is there anything 'out-of-the-ordinary' that anyone has come across before that I could perhaps include?

Sounds good to me ,should be loads of fun
Either of the days would suit us ,although Sunday might be best, thinking of kids, but aren't relly too fussed
I'd be happy putting a few quid in for a prize, no problems...
Was going to drop in my local volvo dealership and pick up one of there treasure maps to find that car,but won't bother now this sounds more funage...

Right. Don't want anyone thinking this is rushed, but...
It's done.
All ready to go to the printer.
Not bad eh?
11:30 - !!!!!!!! Bugger me, it's 3:00!
PC time, just like Playstation time, goes WAAAYYYY too quickly.
Anyhow, it's all done and ready. Just need a gullib...er, willing volunteer to do a 'blind' run before the date to get al timings right and make sure it works.
Not sure if some of the clues are a little too cryptic, we shall see...
Though given the general level of intelligence in the WYIOC...

Sunday is looking like it'll be best, let's see... Anything happening on the 16th?

Right, it's a goer for Sunday 16th July, 11am at the Trading Post
I'll start a new thread for attendances and this one can then be used for any suggestions, etc.

Thats the sort of thread I love, suggestion made/wait for response/get little or none/make a decision and run with it
No wonder our clubs get on so well
Just checked our diary, which is what you should have done before you posted the date here: http://www.scoobysmacs.co.uk/events.asp and we're all round at Petes for a bbq that day
Sorry mate
