Subs, Shirts & the web site
Subs. On the trackday, we will be collecting subs for those wishing to pay for the 2006 season... Every paying member will get a new shiny WYIOC 2006 windscreen sticker which will entitle them to advanced notices of doo's etc and preferential rights at club attendances amongst other things..... Next April we'll be handing out a 2007 sticker so you can keep current...
Cost remains at £10 with all funds going straight to the club so we can provide food and drink in ther first instance at the NBO.
T-Shirt. Also on the trackday Sticky will be modelling the Club's T-Shirt. It''l be on a cheap material so we get the idea, but we'll look to offer a good quality item in both round or V neck. Prices TBC. He may also have some small/medium WYIOC website stickers for those wishing to display the club's site (see below) on their rear windows. Dependent upon cost, these will be free to those wishing it and will be born out of your subs...
Knobby's WYIOC sticker will be somewhat.....unique..
Web Site. I've been in talks with Maddy and I simply need to call the hoster to get the website URL ressurected.. I'll also be calling Phil to look at getting the .com as well linked to the website.. I'll be arranging a hoster, so will hopefully have something done soon. If there's a budding developer out there who wants to knock a simple site together for nowt.. then let me know..

I'd be happy to do it for no cost at all Al, as I've said numerous times. I've got plenty of space on my server, all I need is supplying with an idea, a few images and an domain.
I set up a page on my website origionally, with a description, links etc but got no feed back. I've ressurected the page to maybe get minds ticking with a few ideas
the page is HERE
cheers
Phil

With only 15 spaces available I can see no fairer way....
Once poeple have paid up, then a current window sticker will give those members first refusal at such trips or events where numbers are tight...
Does anyone have a better, fairer or different approach in mind?

Oh, nevermind, if you don't mind, here's the message:
PRODRIVE TRIP
Can you give me an idea of how I go about sorting this out for our lot please? I've always wanted to go down, and as we seem to have a few members now, it'd be a good time to organise one for later in the year.
As an idea, I've been keeping an attendance log of all our members so far, and in instances where numbers are limited, I'd refer to the list to see how commited someone is to the club, to help me decide whether they could go on the event.
chris.

Chris, you need to get in touch with JIrwin@prodrive.com (Jackie). We have been on hold on this since early last year IIRC, so don't hold your breath. When we were told we were on a waiting list and they'd be in touch accordingly I assumed we might never hear anything, but true to their word the contact came through last week. Good luck.

Thanks alan, eventually
Just got an email back around 8am this morning saying Prodrive would love to have the smacs attend. They're going to lay on a small 3 course buffet, and champers of course, then Petter and Colin will take us all out in various cars to show how things have progressed over the years. After that, it's onto the handling circuit to try our own cars with Colin and Petter once again on hand to show us lines and give driving tips. Finally Mike Woods will be resetting our ecu's with the latest prodrive firmware, and ecuteking our cars to perfection.
..............................................and wake up!
I wish. I'll let you know if they do get in touch this year
See you guys tomorrow,
chris.
