Default Conrad / Matt - Thanks for the service & Lancer register shootout on the 18th

Big thanks to Matt & Conrad for fitting me in at very short notice to get an Oil change / 1st Service done.. Coffee was good too...

Now I know were you are I'll be back down for the Lancer Shootout next week... Sample some of Ma Conrads cooking too.. Bacon Butties hopefully

I'll be taking my lad to football on Saturday morning and then I'll be going straight over to The RacingLine, so a mini convoy is on if anyone fancies coming down???

9:15 start from the Holmfield... Then to Halifax via Brighouse...

Guys. I'll see you up there if you're going under your own steam...

Directions: Stay on Shay Lane heading from Halifax until Parfetts Cash & Carry, take the next left into Blackmires street, 200 yards up the street and take the left into Empire Buisness Park. As you pull in to the open space you'll see them down on the right... 30 Evos and other cars should give it away...

Phil, haven't heard anything about a storm Just checked weather.co.uk and it shows 30% showers with 12mph wind and showers increasing in the afternoon to 60% TBH we need the rain, not only for the water for the reservoirs, but to clean 2 months worth of grit and salt off the roads

Al, whilst you're at The Racing Line, perhaps you could apply your military persuasion techniques to the MLR guys to get some of them along to the trackday They have always been invited but so far none of them has ever shown up. Sticky said they can be a fickle bunch but I'm sure you'll win them over

Bacon baps were crackin and only two scoobs?

Very good turnout as well... 30+ cars???

Just visited the MLR to look for some pics, but couldn't see anything posted yet.. The RCD Evo @531 ATW (650 crank?) sounded awesome.. shame about it slipping, I'm sure it would have posted more too..

How did the Norris car do?
I'll be looking to post our first RR day soon...

Well, I did turn up for a few minutes, but you'd buggered off Al. Must have been time for the afternoon nap or summink!

Nice to see you Conrad, I may just be in touch for some mods when 'IT' arrives

Alan, Norris car did 471 ATW and no slip, just short of 600 at the flywheel but it was a very progressive power car compared to the RC Dev cars which went ballistic at 6000 RPM.

Andy, nice to see you too, I havent got your patience to wait for "IT" I need another Evo like yesterday .. lol

Cheers

Conrad

IIRC all the cars there were putting out some serious power with the majority in the 340 (crank) range... Good to see.

One question I was going to ask was: Why don't the rollers have some form of grip?? Surely a tyre on smooth metal would have a tendancy to slip under extreme loads?

Andy.. I left about 12:40... a few mins after Phil. And yes, at my age an afternoon snooze with pipe and slippers is now mandatory...
