Default !!!!HELP!!!!!!

Was coming over to the Foxglove tonight ( 1st timer ).
Anyway I have just finished swoping my interior over, carpet, seats, and door cards. Thing is the bl@@dy thing wont start now,
All the lights come on the dash but there is nothing when you try to turn it over

Any suggestions as it"s got me stumped now.

The ECU is in the passenger footwell I believe. Maybe you disturbed it, but I'm sure it's safe and sound under a protective metal plate. Other than that have a good check around all the connectors and looms you can find to see if any have become dislodged. After that I'm stumped too

Checked the ECU connectors but all seem,ok and are pretty well protected.
Can"t see anything loose anywhere.
Even tried battery off and back on (well it works with computers )

Just nothing when I try to start it, just like the immobaliser on the alarm has kicked in.Have set and unset the alarm but it"s still the same

Have you been through all the fuses You may have inadvertantly earthed something whilst fitting the interior

Checked the fuses first and all ok.
The only plug that looked a bit dodgy was the one under the seat ,but surely that cant be anything to do with it Can it

SORTED

After pulling a sicky this morning to have a look in daylight, and after all sorts of fruity language, head stratching & promising various parts of my body to medical research it finally burst into life.
Turns out that when I took all the gearchange surround out and arm rest to fit the carpet I must have done something to the gearchange selection.
Because it"s a tiptronic/auto box it needs to be in P or N to start it.
I had moved/knocked something that made it think it was in R when in P so it wouldnt fire up.
Took it all in bits and back together and hey presto fixed

Will have to try to meet up with you guys next time

Should have sussed it sooner as I have left it in Drive before and had to put it into P before it would start

Still it does look pretty with the new seats
