Default Which turbo

Hey guys,

Hoping you could advise on me which turbo to go for.

SC46 or MD321T

This will be going on a MY03 STI Type UK

I've got GT spec headers with Harvey Up pipe
RCM intake
Full decat exhaust 2.5
Hybrid front mount
uprate inlet pipe
Opensource map with Duncan @ RaceDynamix

I just don't know which turbo to go for lol

Kind Regards,
Steven H Gill

which ever you go for you are going to need uprated injectors too, and does the car already have a walbro fuel pump? 3port boost solenoid would be a good move too.

Ppp is still on 2port.

Not sure if you mean adding a 3port and using the ppp map still which is a no no, or adding 3port and a remap to ppp car - worth it but 2port in newage sti works very well.

Sorry it was a vague question. It would be + remap running a 20g with 650cc injectors on a ppp 02 sti.

Excuse my ignorance and i'm sure if I searched I would find an answer but while i've got your attention what exactly does the boost solenoid do and how exactly would it benefit from being a 3 port?

Many thanks,
Andy

3port more essential then.. cars no longer a ppp really etc..

controls the wastegate to control therefore the boost level via the actuctor.. more air pressure on the actuator the lower the boost.. a 2port always allows a little pressure on the actuator.. 3port is able to allow you to put no air on the actuator so it spools nice and then as much as is available so the boost control is a lot more precise.

You would need at least 650cc for this but 740cc or 800cc will be fine depending on what you can get hold of.
