Mod Joker:
The 'Mod Joker' will allow ONE modification from a car spec to be effectively dropped thereby allowing the drivers who have one modification which pushes them into the higher class, the opportunity to run in the class they feel they should be in.

Example 1: road going Evo9 with full interior, no cage, coilovers, GT30 and strokered would currently run in Class D. The owner feels their car isn't competitive would be able to play the Mod Joker on the 'stroker' thereby placing the car in Class C.
Example 2: road going Evo 5 GSR totally standard with the exception of coilovers would currently be in Class B. The owner could play the Mod Joker on the coilovers and move to Class A.

The ‘Mod Joker’ rules are:

Can only be used on ONE modification (as shown in the examples above). But if a car has more than one modification to put them in a particular class, they will stay in that class
Can only be used to drop the same modification throughout the Series - it cannot be played for different mods at different events
Cannot be used in conjunction with the Tyre Regs, the RS rule, NOS and Class A boost limit – all of which are exempt
The Registration form must be completed accurately before the event - we will send you a form to complete and return to show which modification is being dropped, so we can place you in the correct class prior to the event
Points will be awarded for the Class the car actually runs in on the day
Points from previous rounds will remain in the Class Points Table they are currently in
It’s not compulsory to use the Mod Joker and drop a class if you'd prefer not to

50/50:
50/50 will allow first time sprinters the opportunity to take part in the full morning session of an MLR Sprint for FREE! This includes running in Class, your times being displayed on the board and your car being scrutineered. If you enjoy it and want to take part in the afternoon's competition there's a charge of £65, but if you didn't enjoy it or decide you just don't want to compete in the afternoon for any reason, that's fine and it will have only cost you some fuel. (It's also a great opportunity to find out it's not cliquey at all!)

The 50/50 rules are:

First time sprinters only
MLR members only
Can only be used once
Must be registered in advance by calling the MLR (08451 25 26 23), and subject to availability.. Note: Registering does NOT guarantee you a place if all are filled by paid bookings
All registered places will be shown in order on the Forum (with the Runner List for each event)
Declined places or no shows does not allow the 50/50 to be taken at another event

We hope you agree the above goes a long way to giving a lot more members the opportunity to take part in the MLRSS, so we look forward to seeing you at a Sprint soon!

Can I also add that neither of the above have been used in anger yet which always shows up any flaws in a system, so if we trip over one once it's in operation, please bear with us while we fix it!!
