Evening all, Not sure how many of you on here are attending ' northern big one' with WMI, but something you may not be aware of (as i wasnt) but they have a best club stand competition. Personally I think our club is one of the best I have been in for the cars and also for the people who attend the meets. Id like to ask for your thoughts for ideas that we could do to display our club as the well organised and successfull club that it is and to also advertise what we do.
The advertising fund bucket appears to have had only a very small hole in it which unfortunately only caught a little of the money that was donated. That issue has now been sorted and will now catch 100% of the money that is thrown its way. If you cannot help financially then maybe think of anything else you can bring to the table that could help in someway, maybe you have something that you dont use anymore that you think could be used in some way to help our stand "stand out" from the rest. Im not asking for much but just a little bit of effort from everybody would go along way to showing people what we are all about. sorry for the essay. see ya all soon, and dont forget to get them sticker orders in :-)

i knew about that wraggy.. think i posted it up on the facebook page. i think the best way to get the best club would be to have the best variety of imprezas all in tip top condition and the friendliest bunch of people. so far we onto a winner then!

i am guessing its guna mostly b blokes ther and the only 2 things that get blokes attention is girls and beer!

if any1 is friendly wiv some fit girls get them 2 dress up in skimpy outfits and we have deffo won the whole competition! and i dont know of any1 who will give up their beer so thats out of the question!

H can u try and convince some strippers 2 help out? and the flags and banners should help and like steve said good selection of cars and friendly people should help aswel.

Ive been on a winning stand at a jap show before and the layout of the cars is crucial, the car(s) that grab the most attention deffo go at the front/center, its great to have a lot of cars but if they are to close together people will not look around them all and your stand will apear less than busy, If your car is interesting in some way mods spec ect.. a little write up in your windscreen is good, some sort of music seems to work on car stands along with lots of chat and also its good to have a perpose which we do (its all for charity) all cars need to be cleaned to the same effort and should be finalised once parked in the stand (weather permiting) last think (no offence intended) some cars are better than others best to mix them up in the stand!!! all the above is IMO of course

I was gonna suggest we base it on the 3 ingredients of a great film:

Fast Cars
Women
and Explosions

But seriously, I reckon it's all about nailing the basics. Getting the cars parked up perfectly (Prits ) and all muckign in to get them as clean as poss once we're set up. Plus getting banners/signs/flags etc all up and looking good and proffessional.

Sy is also right aboout having the best/most-interesting cars towards the front, as well as spaced out as evenly as possible, as this just attracts more crowds. Truth.

In my opinion, 20 (or more, of course!) is the magic number.

Tacky is best my friend

TOM, lovin the explosions idea but wot r u planning 2 explode? lol

on a serious note now i agree wiv SY and i'm sure our man Prits will be on top form as usual wiv the arangment of the cars etc and if we all muck in 2 clean the cars and help set up flags etc we shud ava half decent chance.

Regarding music could we all do wot they did on the ALI-G film and tune in2 the same frequency to play the music thru our car speakers?? Merlin any ideas m8? i know ur pretty good wiv technology etc...
