hi ev1 can anyone give me a little advice. on my import scooby i have an sti back box which lets be honest it dont sound to good at all. if i was to decat the centre section would i get the famous scooby rumble with my sti back box or would i have to upgrade my back box to. any advice is appreciated.

oh does it in what way my i got a import wrx do i need to decat down pipe to or just go the whole way and just go get a complete exhaust system if so do yuou know of any good ones

 

for example , i've heard that the hawkeye has equal headers so you dont get that burble sound as much from changing the exhaust as you would with a bug or blob as the burble come from the engine down the exhaust .

On mine it has a little burble sound but only from the exhaust back box .(hawkeye)

 

Only JDM twin scroll imports have equal length header, my wrx uk hawkeye has unequal headers, same goes for blob and bugeyes.

 

If it's got equal length headers you wont get a proper burble, even if you have decat center and backbox. If it's unequal then all you need is a decat center and backbox, the sti backbox is very sound restrictive.
