Hello M8's
I have seen Black WRX?, L***LNA driving past Taylors Pitstop on the Balcombe Rd B2036 between Horley & Poundhill on more than one occasion in the last week.
Could be the same.....

TMeech...The guy on the TL is called Kevin Jones and he's racing in the 'Sound of thunder' series(Not doing to bad for an old bloke too!!). He's got a TLR for next year(Will he never learn).
What racing you doing????
Have you been to the 'ring' yet?..Great fun taking the bike on a trailer behind the scoob and when it rains, put the bike away and straight out in car(Great fun)!!!
Should definately be at the next sussex meet(Whenever it is...Que Iain)...See you there..
Cheers

Tony,
AAaahh thought I seen him about then!! - TLR?? eeew!! My mate runs Performance House, they had a pair of them running a couple of years back (Privateer Team) in BSB, rode one of them at Cadwell GP circuit trackday, they said "Wear your Earplugs" I was like nah won't need them DOH bad mistake, the induction noise was so fookin loud it was rattling my brains out anything over 5000!! Quick tho, very quick.....would much rather have an SP1 all day long tho
Was racing for a couple of years, done the Rookie 600's / Clubman 600 and some SS600 on an ex Crescent GSXR600WW, making about 119 at the rear wheel, which wasn't too bad from a 600, used to fly
Gonna hopefully get either a GSXR750 or GSXR1000 to race powerbikes this season lol am gonna die horribly!!
Cool, If you wanna meet up and pootle up there together give me a shout, should be a good giggle....

So you're mates with Rick C eh...nice bloke. Got my PVM wheels and brakes etc from him and pop in for a chat from time to time(one of the few places you can get a decent cup of coffee!).
As for the GSXR 750 or 1000...Well my 750 y is now somewhere between superstock & powerbike spec. I took it to Rockingham last year and did the morning session on the 750 but did the afternoon session on a BSB superstock 1000(as ridden by Luke Quigley to 5th place at Cadwell)as my mate ran Beckley's race team. Have to say that the 1000 was an absolute missile down the straights but I was almost 3/4 of a second quicker on the 750!!! I don't know why, but the thou seems(to me) to carry its weight higher in the chassis and doesn't feel as if will change it's line like the 750 does even though they are close in weight & dimensions???? But knowing the powerbike series you're gonna need the big hp!!!
Also my friend was the rider for Beckleys in BSB superstocks for 2 years(on 750 & 1000)and he's a top bloke who wouldn't mind chatting to you about the differances.
Mail me if you want to come over and have a chat with him.
As for meeting up for the Bolney meet, sounds good and i'll give you a shout nearer the time.
Tony
ps..I said that about the ring for about 5 years but after finally going realised its not as bad as it's made out.

Tony,
Yeah I have known Rick since i was a nipper, he's a little moody but once you get to know him he has a heart of gold, They used to look after my bike for me, got it running absolutely sweetly, shame about the rider tho hehe, had a bad season last year fell off no less than 5 times and each one hurt!!
I know of the Beckleys lot, they are usually v v quick, was on a track day at brands last year, there was some kiddie on a 750 who spanked my ***! I don't think i am the quickest out there and he just showed me the way home way too easily, very distressing indeed, plus I was doing low 52's high 51's on the indy circuit, damn back to the drawing board!
Most people reckon the 750 puts its power down a lot 'friendlier' than the 1000, plus i think also the 1000 as you say is slightly more top heavy, i would say it's easier to ride the 750 faster only because it's like a 600 with another 30bhp, much more peaky than the 1000, the good thing with the 750 too it's 'only' a 750 which means when you spank SP1's, Dukes, R1's and GSXR1000's on track days you get more respect hehe
Yeah cool, we could wander over to Beckleys i'd be interested in what they have to say etc, always open to advice etc....
Take it easy
