'twas about 11:30pm, heading northbound, and you gave a quick flash of the hazards as you took your turning just before the M42 junction.

From my salt-encrusted silver MY93 WRX, I could just about make out that yours was a non-turbo.....a bit like mine at the moment (but that's another story )

On my way home after a very long day, this is the company car hence the rather mucky state given the miles I travel, the Legacy turbo sits at home nice and snug whilst the Impreza takes the strain.

I think the Escort driver was trying to entice us into a bit of a race, but I was too k****ered to even bother.

Martyn,

Hiya! The roads were a bit mucky on Monday evening - my car was actually clean when I started off in Devon, but it was almost black when I got to my destination!

As for the Escort - bloody annoying! Sat 6 feet off your back bumper in the next lane, so you have no option but to accelerate slightly to pull out to overtake stuff in front.

Yeah, I do feel sooo cool when I can outpace a 1.8 Escort GL!

Cheers,

Dave
