Hemel is Horrible!

Floyd,
Do do the downs up from Dagnal - most excellent - only problem is I sometimes get drafted to do the school run which means all the way down 4146 - yuk.
Only prob with the downs is I'm worried I'll pile the car having too much fun - still its better in the dark now !

I work in Hemel and on the daily commute I see a couple of scoobs, neither wave or acknowledge me. Grrrr
One is a White STI the other is a std red turbo.
I wave every time I see them but I think they are aloof.

PS I have seen others in Hemel and I've never had a wave....something wrong here I suspect and it ain't me.

I drive into hemel every day from LB and dont often see a single scoob on the 4146. Having said that did live in HH for 7 years and didnt see that many - but then again I wouldnt have been looking for them as I only saw the light 2 years ago....

I work in Hemel, drive from Northampton, Down M1 A5 and across the downs. I have seen Floyd a few times but never when it's my turn to drive!!

Trumble, I used to do the A4146 but now do the Daveyboy route as it's much quicker.

Moved out off Hemel back in September, though I'm still there a few times a month.
To be honest I got fed up waving and not getting any responses in Hemel. Comes a point where you start feeling like an @rse, so I stopped waving first. Always try and acknowledge someone who waves me though.

Personally, I love hemel's magic roundabout, it's far more entertaining than Swindon's. I remember when they first did all the changes, it was absolute carnage. Nobody had a clue!

Josh, I spent many years staring out of the window of the telephone exchange, which is on that roundabout! I've seen all sorts of incidents including a few artics that ended up in the Gade. LOL.

You're taking your life in your hands if you do the downs towards Hemel from Dagnal. It's really dangerous in the winter and there's a mad white van that comes the other way, very fast!!! The bonus is that there's a couple of nice laydees who walk a dog that you might see...
