Default Santa Pod Sunday 10th

Saw a fair few scoobies at the pod for the Finals. Any of you guys there.?

I did see about 6/7 in what could of been a prime parking spot, right where all the motorbikes were parked,

Any one know what happened on the last lot of runs, think it was the Pro Mod Final.? Did something serious happened, We was on our way out. Ambulances in and out of the pod. blues and twos going. hope it was something too serious

Yep just seen this myself,
Very sad news, we left just as these two cars were going down the stripe, it then went quiet.

I know where they were standing too which was just level with the finish line, on the right hand lane, and there is no safety wire to speak off along the right hand lane, where the pit lane does have safety wire all the way down.

Just a very unlucky accident,

Just a very unlucky accident,
There's a fence along the rhs, but its much lower than the pit side.
My son always tries to go and sit on the bank side fence, but I won't let him because of the risk of bits coming off and coming over the fence.
Further reports say it was some part of the chute canister flying off.

Was there for the full weekend and went to leave at about 3.45 and was stuck in a big queue to get out for 2 hours and we saw the ambulances coming in and out and wondered what had happened, very sad news.
