I think it was a STI. It had a prodrive sticker on the rear bumper, under the number plate. And some nice big blue mud flaps.... 
I was behind you for a little while, then I turn off at the VW garage. I was on my way to a local meet and then up to snake pass to meet up with the wyioc.
