only had the Scooby for about a month. decided to get a car after being side swiped by a transit van on the A127 at the Rayliegh wier on me Bike.Head first into the barrier. But only a broken wrist & finger oh & some very nasty tarmac burns on me leg.Still want another bike but misses & kids are aganst it so i wanted a fun car instead.

not a bad place to live is it? i've been there since i was born. well i moved over to basildon a couple of years ago but my folks still live in laindon and i'm over there every day. would like to move back that way soon.
bikes are great fun, but as you know they hurt when someone doesn't pay attention. at least in the scoob you've got a bit of protection round you and you can do a reasonable impression of bike perfomance, well some bikes anyway.
a mate had a similar accident on his bike. he's said that he'll get another bike (not much left of his old one). we've suggested that he doesn't and does the same as you have, get a decent car and leave the bikes alone for a while. good choice of car btw!!
