Commiserations to those stuck on the M5 trying to get onto the M6 on Friday. I saw a blue STi and a WR1 stuck, not knowing what was going on!
I was in the black STi in the other direction, having just escaped from the M6, I knew the problem - Northbound was shut due to a lorry of hay that had caught fire (probably spontaneous combustion?)
Further back I was caught in the dreaded "resonance factor" ie everything stops then starts, only to stop again a couple of miles further on, and so on. My local Mway - the dreaded M25, is bad enough, but that M6 is absolute s**t!!
How long were you stuck there?

I got stuck on it twice. Once on Saturday on the way up to Glasgow, then again on Sunday on the way back. What a joke.
