A possy of Porsche's on the pass and a few down in Eskdale sunday

 

Went up there about 18 years ago in the Triumph Acclaim - it was a first gear job getting up some seriously steep scary bits - 1 in 3 or even 1 in 2 on hairpins with adverse cambers. There were lots of old bangers at the top that had overheated etc. Suppose that's why I have heard it called the car graveyard.

 

had me worried on Friday but conditions were terrible dusk,fog and running water.

 

done it in winter in my first scoob, exhilarating drive going back to lakes this summer to do it again, pass of the cattle in scotland tougher by all accounts.

 

Last time I went over Hardknott / Wrynose last year I passed a load of hairdressers, sorry - I mean BMW Z3's - 17 of them, and quite a few of them looked a bit white...

Coming down is worse than going up - it's quite disturbing when you can't see road at the other end of the bonnet...

 

I did the pass of cattle 3 weeks ago in the snow - got some cracking pics of the car (my old my99 then)... Will post them up soon enough
Doing the Hardknot and Wrynose in May - cant wait - will be my first time since my dad drove me up there in a green marina 20 years ago! Anyway wasnt me as I dont own a porsche...

 

Cool, lets see them I have some pics off net of pass and wanna drag the missus up there this summer after she has driven hardknott/wrynose with me. can you recommend somewhere to stay in applecross?
