Having had a friends car written off after hitting a deer, you were lucky...no consolation I know, but could have been worse. Hope you get it sorted quickly.

Count yourself lucky. Up here there's been plenty of fatalities after cars have hit deer.

I can see the damage to the wing and light assembly. The tyre looks OK so I'm guessing the "veal" wasn't damaged. (I'll get my coat).

Oonlooky but it could have been much worse and it sounds as though you were unhurt.

Ouch.

The following comes with a health warning - I don't know if it's true but apparently you can get a whistle that attaches to the car that scares of deer and the like - Humans can't hear it. If it's true (and it wasn't said as a wind up) and you live in an area with a "deer problem" might be worth investigating further !!

Enjoy the Venison sausages

Same thing almost happened to me last week!
I am now starting my job a lot earlier in the morning, as a result i am probably one of the first cars to go bolting down the country lanes around here.
As i went round a bend a deer was standing in the middle of the road just looking at me! Luckily those TSL 6 pots stopped me in time!

Since then i havnt been so willing to cane it through those lanes, just as well as since that day i have had to avoid a deer on 4 different occassions!

All those pathetic attempts to make light of this really saddens me. Does nobody care that an innocent little deers life was savagely extinguished.
The cars damaged, so what! Its only a car, and can be easily fixed. That's what we pay extortionate insurance policies for. You can't bring the deer back from the dead.
you all should be ashamed of yourselves.

I blame the Parents - the young deer have no respect for the roads anymore - Just darting into the middle of the road for no reason ... Time for the Tufty club for Deer - but would the Deer listen to Squirrels ???
